John Gotti passed away from head, neck and
throat cancer in 2002. Despite passing away behind bars he was in a medical
center, accompanied by family members. Gotti Jr mentioned this condition could
have been presented if John Gotti had received adequate medical care. Gum
infection check ups led to the cancer spreading and this could have been
prevented from regular checks.
John Gotti's funeral was attended by thousands, contributing and supporting his image as a popular robin hood figure.
