John Gotti led a hit team including under
boss Sammy The Bull Gravano and several other Gambino family members. This was
a shock to the mafia as such as power move simply hadn’t happened before. The
hit was performed in front of randoms on the main street. Unsure how many
people were actually involved but according to several documentaries on youtube
and the Sammy Gravano sixty minutes interview this was planned for up to 6
months in advance. According to the documentaries Castellano lost touch with
the street and he was taking to much money, which Gotti and his long list of
supporters weren’t happy with.
